Job opportunity with South Dublin County Volunteer Bureau

are now recruiting for the position of
Development Officer

We are now looking for a dynamic, energetic and highly motivated individual who has a passion for volunteering to join our team. An excellent communicator, you need to be able to connect with people from all sectors and have strong people skills. Challenging, but hugely rewarding, this position gives you the opportunity to multi-task in a diverse role where you will use your own initiative as well as collaborate within a team.

Overall purpose of the job
This position focuses primarily on developing and delivering a volunteer placement service in Clondalkin and its environs and promoting volunteering and civic participation to individuals living in the area of South Dublin County, west of the Naas Road. The worker will recruit and support volunteers and place them in volunteer roles within the community. The worker will also work with voluntary organisations to ensure that they have a variety of roles available for volunteers to participate in.

Place of Work
Position will be based in Clondalkin with some office time spent initially in the South Dublin County Volunteer Centre main office in Tallaght. There will also be significant out of office work in the target area.

Hours of Work
37 hours per week – Some out of office hours will be required
