Game Researcher

Athy CDP is developing an interactive game promoting multiculturism and is now seeking a person to undertake research in order to assist the formulation of questions.

While the basic concept of the game is in place, an opportunity exists for the volunteer to input their own ideas into the design and operational features of the game.

Times are flexible, with a provisional deadline of three months.

Any training needs will be met by the CDP and the volunteer will be supported at all times by the CDP development staff in any way necessary.


K.A.R.E. aims to promote full inclusion and integration of people with intellectual disabilities into their communities.

Job:   Best Buddies Programme

Skills:  An interest in befriending and involving a youngperson in a social activity

Time:  One hour a fortnight and one phone call a week

Job:   Sports/Leisure/recreation Assistant to assiststaff in organising and attending the above activities.

Skills: A sense of fun and an interest in working with people

Time:  Twice a month - Day or Evening


Scoil Phadraig Naofa, Athy

Brunch Club

As part of their Healthy Eating Programme Schoil Phadraig Naofa, Athy require volunteers to assist with the preparation of snacks and light lunches on a daily basis.

Job:  Assisting with the preparation  of light snacks for school children

Skills:  Good interpersonal skills with children, being able to work as part of a team.

Time:   A minimum of one day a week from 9.30 a.m to 12.30 .

Garda clearance is required


Athy Tidy Towns

Are you interested in creating a litter free environment in Athy.

Job:  To assist with environmental projects in the Athy area.

Skills:  Being able to work as part of a team

Time:  To suit individual

Volunteers are require to take part in community clean ups during April.
