Tralee Volunteer Bureau require a placement officer

Tralee Volunteer Bureau Ltd mission is to offer equal opportunities to all section of the community to participate in meaningful voluntary activity. The Volunteer Bureau aims to provide free, quality based volunteering services in a friendly and professional manner to both volunteers and to non-profit making voluntary organisations.Services offered include training, advice, placement and support to volunteers and voluntary organisations.  Tralee Volunteer Bureau believes that:

The bureau wishes to recruit a Placement Officer to deliver its placement Service.

 

Part-time Placement Officer

(20 hours per week)

This is a 6 month contract, subject to funding.  Applicants must have a relevant third level qualification and experience. Flexible working hours will apply.

Main Duties of the Placement Officer will include:

  • Delivering and developing the existing volunteer placement service.
  • Promoting and developing best practice in volunteering management.
  • Liaising and enabling potential volunteers.
  • Supporting
  • Liaising with community & voluntary organizations to determine their needs.
  • Coordinate the working relationships between volunteer and voluntary organisations.
