Order of Malta Newbridge Unit


Job:        Group Leaders

              Ambulance Drivers – D Licence

             Volunteer Members – To attend various events

             Cadet Assistant – 10-16yrs old group

Skills:    An interest in working with young people and first aid.


Foroige Youth Club – Celbridge


Job:       To assist as youth leader, monitor and participate in activities.

Skills:    A sense of fun, patience, non-judgemental attitude.

Time:     One evening a week




Irish Girl Guides – Naas


Job:       Leader - Brown Owl, Tawny Owl to run a small brownie unit. 

Venue:   Naas  


Celbridge Parish Pastoral Council


Job:          Youth Leaders

Venue:        Parish Centre

Skills:        Very good interpersonal skills, enjoy working with young people,

                work as part of a        team, sense of fun.

Time:        2 ½ hours per week


The Riverbank Arts Centre


Job:          Usher – to assist patrons find seats. Assist patrons with special

                needs.  Count and record tickets as per fire regulations.

Venue:        The Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge.

Time:        One or more evenings per week


Job:          Visual Arts Curator / Sales Assistant

Venue:        The Riverbank Art Gallery, Newbridge and The Riverbank

                Gallery in The Village Shopping Centre, Kildare.


Job:          Marketing / Distribution – of Event Guides, flyers/posters in

                local cafes, shops, libraries etc.

Venue:        Local to volunteer

Time:          Approx three times a year.




Sugradh After-School Care - Community childcare provider

Job:          Board Member – to attend meetings once a month, contribute

                To developing policy, become part of a committee re: New Building


Skills:        Childcare or Child orientated Community project/ Community

                Development. Management.

Location:        Celbridge


Kildare Traveller Network

Job:          Bus Driver – to drive small group to attend course. From Maynooth

                To Naas and back.  Wednesday mornings.

Skills:        D licence to drive a Mini Bus.

Time:          1hour in the morning and 1 hour at lunch time.


Arthritis Foundation

Job:          Administration

Skills:        Good organisational and computer skills.

Time:          3-4 hours per week


Newbridge Family Resource Centre

Job:        Homework Club Assistants – to give out light snack and help with homework.

Skills:        Patience, sense of fun

Time:        Tues. Weds and Thurs afternoons 3pm – 5pm
