Job:          Event Assistants

Skills:        Interest in working with young people through music and filming.

Time:        Approx. 10 hours per week

 

Job:          Office Administration

Skills:          General office duties i.e. Computers – filing etc.

Time:          10 hours per week.

 

 

Foroige Youth Club – Kildare

 

Job:               To assist as youth leader, monitor and participate in activities.

Skills:            A sense of fun, patience, non-judgemental attitude.

Time:               One evening a week

 

St. John of Gods, St. Raphaels

“Promoting a person centred culture so that a quality service is delivered in a spirit of partnership to individuals with an Intellectual Disability”

 

Job:        Multimedia Library Supervisor – to work alongside Service Users.

Skills:        Patience, an interest in assistive technology, basic computer knowledge.

Flexible:        About 4/6 hours per week

 

Job:        Befriending

Skills:        Good interpersonal skills, interests will be matched with Service

                User

Time:        2 hours per week

 

Job:        Swimming Assistants

Skills:        Comfortable in the water, caring, patient, good communication

                And motivated.

Time:        3 hours per week

 

Job:        Support Activities Assistants

Skills:        Patience, caring and a sense of fun

Time:        3 hours per week

 

Job:        Sports Assistants

Skills:        Interest in sports i.e. bowling, basketball, special Olympics etc.,

                Kind, patient, caring, good communicator

Time:        3 hours per week

 

Job:        Independent Living Assistants – supporting people live independently within their community.

Skills:        Patience, empathy, good listening skills, be assertive in a

                Friendly manner.

Time:        2 hours per week

Job:        Job Coach Facilitator – to accompany clients to jobs in local community

Skills:        Good communicator, motivated, caring, patient, kind

Time:        3 hours per week

 

 

Order of Malta Newbridge Unit

 

Job:         Group Leaders, Ambulance Drivers – D Licence

                 Volunteer Members – To attend various events

                Cadet Assistant – 10-16yrs old group

Skills:       An interest in working with young people and first aid.

Time:        2 to 3 hours per week

 

 

Kildare Youth Services – Newbridge, Athy, Leixlip, Naas, The Curragh.

Job:          Youth leaders to assist Youth Workers.

Skills:        An interest in working with young people.

Time:          2 to 4 hours per week

 

 

St. Vincent’s Hospital

 

Job:        Bus Driver – to drive a 15 seater Ford Transit Wheelchair

                   accessible bus, to take elderly patients on trips and outings. 

                Patients will be accompanied by nurse and staff.

Skills:        D1 Driving licence.

Time :        Once a week – Wednesdays.

Job:        Homework Mentor – To help a young person with homework,

                   support and encourage him/her.

Skills:        Good educational background, good knowledge of the

subject, an interest in working with young people and a patient disposition.

Time :        2hours per week

 

Athy Access Group

 

Job   :        Administration Assistant – to attend monthly meetings. 

Take minutes & support group secretary in preparing minutes to send to group members.

Skills:        Good administration skills, to verbal communication and

                             listening skills.  An interest in disability issues.

Time :        3 to 5 hours per month.
